Caroline C. Rast

As part of the Firm’s Litigation team, Caroline focuses her practice on insurance defense, commercial, and business litigation.
Caroline graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Public Health and a minor in Psychology. She received her Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law. In law school, Caroline served as the Secretary for the Health Law Society, as well as the Director of Outreach for the First-Generation Law Student Association. She was also a member of the Business Law Society, Maritime Law Society, Survivor Advocacy Society, Alliance for Equality, and Adult Guardianship and Monitoring Program.
In addition to her law school activities, Caroline participated in a Domestic Violence Clinic with South Carolina Legal Services, assisting individuals seeking Orders of Protection. She also completed 50 hours of pro bono services in Charleston County housing courts during her final year of law school through Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services.
When she is not in the office, Caroline enjoys volunteering, going on long walks with her dog, having game nights with family, and exploring new restaurants with friends.
