Catherine Kopiec takes national leadership role with DRI

Columbia, SC – Catherine Ava Kopiec, an associate in Rogers Townsend’s Columbia office, has been named Second Vice Chair of DRI Young Lawyers. This national role will lead her to Chair DRI Young Lawyers in 2021.
With a long history of service to DRI, Catherine has served as the organization’s State Membership Chair for South Carolina, as well as the state’s Annual Meeting Liaison. She also serves on DRI’s Products Liability Committee.
Catherine focuses her practice in the areas of civil litigation, namely products liability, construction defect litigation, and general insurance defense. She is a 2012 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Catherine has handled various complex construction defect matters, representing a range of parties from developers to general contractors, subcontractors, and materials suppliers. She has also represented a wide variety of product manufacturers and distributors in cases ranging from property damage to catastrophic injury.
