Parrish serves on the firm’s litigation team, where he focuses his practice on insurance defense and construction defect litigation. He represents insurers, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, businesses, and other clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including construction defect claims, coverage-related disputes, premises liability, property damage claims, and general liability matters.
Parrish also advises clients and carriers on insurance coverage issues, including whether particular claims, disputes, or parties may fall within the scope of coverage under applicable policies. His litigation experience includes work in both state and federal court, where he has served as lead counsel and second chair in a broad range of civil matters.
Before focusing his practice on litigation, Parrish gained business and legal experience serving as vice president and general counsel for a national corporation and advising companies on intellectual property, corporate, licensing, and regulatory matters. He is a Registered Patent Attorney with the USPTO. That background gives him a practical understanding of business operations, risk management, and client objectives in litigation.
Parrish earned his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he was a Judge Abraham Caruthers Fellow, competed on the National Negotiation Team, and served on the Trial Advocacy Executive Board. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Political Science from the University of Alabama.
