Seth T. McDaniel
Charleston • Special Counsel
Seth serves as special counsel on the firm’s litigation team, with a focus on construction defect, products liability defense, and commercial auto defense. Seth has a significant amount of civil litigation experience and has tried cases in various parts of the state and argued before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of South Carolina.
Seth graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in History and Political Science. He received his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2012, where he served as an Articles Editor for the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business. He was also awarded the Roberts Senior Class Writing Award for best third-year research paper. Following his graduation, he worked as a Staff Attorney at the South Carolina Court of Appeals, and then as a law clerk for the Honorable Stephanie P. McDonald.
Additionally, he is a member of the Charleston County Bar Association and a certified mediator in the state courts of South Carolina.
In his free time, Seth enjoys following UNC and South Carolina athletics and visiting his family in the mountains of North Carolina.
